Caring for Wool
Tips on caring for wool

WOOL CARE
First review the label and check with the manufacturer for the care recommended for a specific wool item.

As a general rule of thumb, all pure wool blankets and other pure wool items should be hand washed in cold water. Some newer washing machines have a delicate or hand wash cycle with a low spin that can also be used. When washing wool, use a detergent designed for wool, like the Woolite Fabric Wash.

Once your wool blanket is washed it must be allowed to air dry. The best option is to place the blanket on a drying rack. For wool clothing, a towel should be laid on the floor and the item should be placed flat on it to dry. This ensures the item will retain their shape.

If you are not using your wool blanket, it is best stored in a tightly sealed plastic bag or plastic storage container. This protects the blanket when not in use.
